Privacy Policy — FileForge

FileForge does not require an account or sign-in, and stores all resume data locally on your device.

Data We Collect

• Resume content (name, contact info, work history, education, skills, etc.) — stored only in a local database on your device, never uploaded to our servers.
• Profile photo — captured via camera or gallery, stored locally, not transmitted by us.
• AI writing assistance — text you explicitly submit to an AI feature is sent to Groq, Inc. via their API to generate suggestions. No other resume data leaves your device. See Groq's Privacy Policy.
• Advertising — ads are served via Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data. See Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads via Device Settings → Google → Ads.
• Version check — the app checks the Play Store for updates via a standard request containing no personal data.
• Exported files — PDF/Word files are generated entirely on-device and saved to your Downloads folder; nothing is uploaded.

• INTERNET — AI features, ads, update checks
• CAMERA — profile photo capture
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — checks connectivity before network requests

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent personal data. The only third parties that may receive data are Groq, Inc. (text submitted to AI features) and Google AdMob (device/ad identifiers for ad serving).

Data Storage & Security

Resume data is stored in a local database on your device. We operate no servers holding personal information. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored data.

Children's Privacy

FileForge is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Your Rights & Controls

• Edit or delete any resume directly in the app
• Delete all data by uninstalling the app
• Opt out of personalized ads via device settings
• Disable AI features simply by not using them

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The current version is always available at this page's URL.

Terms of Service

• FileForge is provided "as is" for personal resume-building use, without warranties of any kind.
• You retain full ownership of the resume content you create in the app.
• AI-generated suggestions are provided for convenience — review all content for accuracy before use.
• You agree not to use the app for unlawful purposes or to misrepresent qualifications.
• Any optional in-app purchases or paid features are billed through Google Play and governed by Google Play's terms.
• These terms may be updated periodically; continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the current terms.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Any paid features or subscriptions offered within FileForge are billed and processed through the Google Play billing system. Refund requests for Google Play purchases should be made through Google Play's own refund process, accessible via the Google Play Store app → Order history.

For issues with a purchase not resolved through Google Play, contact us directly at the email below and we will assist within a reasonable timeframe.
